Reggae in Africa was boosted by the visit of Bob Marley to Zimbabwe in 1980. In Jamaica, authentic reggae is one of the biggest sources of income.

From the legend Bob Marley this genre grew and matured and it became an adopted genre.

Dispite using our mother language will this zim raggae artists and producers represent our flag to a Regional or international level.

Ras Caleb the tokwe mukosi hit maker, Cello culture and the transit crew, Allanah, Celsius, Seh Calaz, Mannex Motsi just to mention a few who are pushing raggae music in zim.

If given a chance to represent zim - raggae will they raise the flag high???

What is lacking for them to reach the regional standards???

Looking back on their raggae albums and singles who can we say is fit to carry the raggae (ambossord) title.
